Pan Fried Salmon

Ingredients (for 2ppl):

Main Ingredients:

  • 2 x salmon steaks
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar

Goes Well With:

  • Roast Potatoes
  • Seasonal Vegetables

Utensils:

  • Frying pan

Instructions

Prepare (5min):

  1. Descale salmon steaks

Brine (40 mins):

Salmon should be in brine for 35 mins before cooking

  1. Boil the kettle and pour 300ml water into a jug, mix in salt and sugar, once all is disolved add in 300ml of cold water
  2. Put salmon into a shallow dish and pour in brine makeing sure the salmon are totally covered (top up with cold water if needed), put in the fridge for 35 mins

Cooking (5min):

  1. Small drizzle of oil in the frying pan and put the salmon steaks skin side down on a high heat for approximately 4 minutes (until the top part of the salmon starts to change from raw to opaque, then flip over for 15 seconds and then take off the heat)
