Cardamom Rice

Ingredients (for 2ppl):

Main Ingredients:

  • 120g basmati rice
  • Double the volume of rice in water
  • 1/2 an onion
  • 2 cardamom pods

Instructions

Prepare (5min):

  1. Dice onion into small cubes
  2. Boil the kettle

Cooking (20min):

  1. Put some oil and the onions into a saucepan and sauté for 1 minute
  2. Add the rice and season with salt and stir for a further 1 minute
  3. Add the water, stir to mix it all up and add the cardamom pods
  4. Turn down to low heat, put a lid on and cook for 18 minutes exactly
