Chinese Sea Bream

Ingredients (for 2ppl):

Main Ingredients:

  • 2 Sea bass fillets
  • Scallion - about 3, white parts whole and green parts sliced julienne
  • Ginger - a few chunky slices
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • water or mirin
  • Vegetable oil

Goes Well With:

  • Stir fried vegetables

Utensils:

  • Saucepan

Instructions

Prepare (2 mins):

  1. Put white parts of spring onion and sliced ginger in dish in steamer
  2. Put some vegetable oil in a seperate pan

Cooking (6 mins):

  1. Lay on fish, brush with oil and steam for (5 mins)
  2. Meanwhile, julliene the green parts of spring onion and some ginger
  3. Add soya sauce, sugar, sesame oil and a dash of water and mix in a saucer
  4. Heat up some vegetable oil really hot
  5. Plate fish, put on julliene veggies, pour on soya sauce and pour over the hot oil
