Pork & Leek Steak

Ingredients (for 2ppl):

Main Ingredients:

  • 2 pork steaks
  • 1 leek
  • 250ml chicken stock
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • Fresh sage

Goes Well With:

  • Roast Potatoes
  • Seasonal Vegetables

Utensils:

  • Skillet

Instructions

Best if pork is brined (45mins - 4 hour before)

Prepare (2 mins):

  1. Wash and cut leeks, prepare garlic

Cooking (23 mins):

  1. Sear pork steaks for 2-3 mins each side depending on thickness then remove from pan (4-6 mins)
  2. Reduce heat to med and add leeks and put a lid on (6 mins)
  3. Meanwhile, prepare the stock
  4. Add garlic and stir (1 min)
  5. Add broth (and optional brandy), some sage and bring to boil (2 mins)
  6. Put chops back in pan and cook for (4 mins)
  7. Take out chops to rest (5 min)
  8. Meanwhile, Add more sage, reduce and then pour over steaks when serving
