Seafood Pasta

Ingredients (for 2ppl):

Main Ingredients:

  • 200g mussels
  • 400g clams
  • Optional: prawns/squid etc
  • 400g Passata
  • 200g Pasta
  • 6 cherry tomatoes
  • 1 x clove of garlic
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil
  • A couple basil leaves
  • A splash of white wine

Goes Well With:

  • Salad

Utensils:

  • Saucepan

Instructions

Prepare (5min):

  1. Rinse mussels with water, any that don't close throw away, also remove the gritty thread

Cooking (45min):

  1. Cook mussels and clams in a hot saucepan with a lid for 2 minutes
  2. Drain juice through a filter and keep in a glass
  3. Put the clams in a bowl of cold water
  4. Add passata, one clove of garlic, extra virgin olive oil, 6 cherry tomatoes with a slit in and a couple of basil leaves on a low temperature for 10 minutes with a lid
  5. Add mussel juice, a splash of white wine and the drained clams, cook for a further 30 mins with the lid
  6. Cook pasta seperately, mix with sauce and serve
