Shape Memory Alloy
One of the main considerations when constructing is the transportation of pre-fabricated materials/products. Shape memory allow allows certain components to be pre-fabricated, but in a far more transportation friendly format, for example awkward or large shapes can be collapsed into easily transported items and correctly re-shaped upon arrival.
Nanotechnology
Nanotechnology is the application of technology on a miniscule scale, where individual particles are being manipulated for a desired purpose. Nanotechnology has huge potential in many sectors in life; for example sending nanobots (small robots using nanotechnology) into the body to fix a problem without having to harm the patient in any way. Progress has also been made in nano fabrication, where nanobots are used to construct more copies of itself or more advanced objects.
